We are seeking a skilledData Modelerto join our clients Data Architecture team. This role is responsible for designing developing and maintaining enterprise data models that support business operations analytics and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate has expertise witherwin Data Modeler Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server along with experience developing scalable high-quality data solutions. Working closely with data architects DBAs ETL developers and business stakeholders the Data Modeler translates complex business requirements into well-structured data models that align with enterprise data governance performance and integration standards.
The successful candidate is analytical detail-oriented and collaborative with a proactive mindset and a passion for solving complex data challenges. Qualifications
- 4 years of hands-on data modeling experience in enterprise environments
- Advanced proficiency witherwin Data Modeler(version 9.x or higher preferred) including subject areas model templates and DDL generation
- Strong experience with Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c/21c) and Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or newer)
- Advanced SQL skills with extensive knowledge of DDL including creating and modifying tables indexes constraints sequences synonyms and materialized views
- Strong understanding of database internals including indexing strategies partitioning clustering and query execution plans
- Experience with data modeling best practices including normalization denormalization surrogate keys slowly changing dimensions (SCD) and Data Vault (preferred)
- Experience using version control tools such as Git and model comparison/diff tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Collaborative team player with a proactive solution-oriented mindset
- Experience with Hadoop and/or MongoDB is a plus
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data environments is preferred
Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain conceptual logical and physical data models using erwin Data Modeler
- Create review and optimize DDL scripts for database objects including tables views indexes constraints partitions and other database structures
- Perform forward and reverse engineering of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Collaborate with data architects database administrators ETL developers and business stakeholders to gather analyze and refine business requirements
- Develop data models that adhere to normalization standards (3NF/BCNF) while maintaining data quality integrity and referential integrity
- Support dimensional modeling initiatives including star and snowflake schemas for data warehousing and analytics
- Conduct data model reviews impact analysis and version control using erwin or comparable modeling tools
- Participate in data governance initiatives including metadata management data lineage and naming standards
- Optimize data models for performance scalability and maintainability across enterprise environments
- Support database migrations schema comparisons and synchronization across Development QA and Production environments
- Assist with optimizing existing enterprise data solutions
- Follow established Data Governance and Information Classification & Protection policies
- Participate in architecture and design reviews while collaborating closely with the Data Architecture team
