Job Summary
Carter Psychology Center is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to support administrative and clinical operations by accurately entering updating and maintaining information in internal systems. The position will involve processing records verifying information organizing documentation and assisting administrative teams with maintaining accurate and accessible data.
This position may support a remote work arrangement depending on business requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail strong organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information professionally while working with patient records and administrative data.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and update patient appointment administrative and operational information in internal systems.
- Review source documents and records for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify missing duplicate or inconsistent information and coordinate corrections.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and administrative databases.
- Assist with document scanning filing indexing and digital record organization.
- Perform routine data-quality checks to ensure information remains accurate.
- Prepare spreadsheets reports and data summaries for administrative teams.
- Assist with appointment billing referral and patient-information records as authorized.
- Retrieve information in response to approved internal requests.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling patient and company information.
- Follow established procedures for data security recordkeeping and information management.
- Communicate effectively with remote and onsite team members.
- Support remote administrative workflows while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree is a plus.
- Previous experience in data entry administrative support records management healthcare administration or a related field preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong typing and computer skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word Outlook and database applications.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment when applicable.
