Job Summary:
- Kforce is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support a modern cloud data environment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional SQL expertise and proven experience designing building and optimizing scalable complex data transformation pipelines.
- This role requires strong hands-on experience with SQL Snowflake Data Warehousing Data Modeling and Data Engineering practices. The candidate will work independently support production-grade data workflows and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and optimize complex SQL-based data transformation pipelines at enterprise scale.
- Translate business requirements and logic into efficient maintainable and scalable SQL workflows.
- Perform advanced SQL development including:
- Query optimization
- Analytical functions
- Set-based operations
- Complex transformations
- Build and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions using modern data engineering practices.
- Develop and implement data models including:
- Star schema
- Snowflake schema
- Denormalized data models
- Design develop and maintain scalable data processing workflows.
- Implement data quality frameworks automated validation processes and testing strategies.
- Support production-grade data pipelines monitoring troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Work with orchestration and scheduling frameworks for automated data workflows.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders analysts and engineering teams to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Follow Git-based development workflows and CI/CD practices.
- Ensure data integrity reliability performance and availability across platforms.
Required Skills:
- 7 years of experience in Data Engineering (DE III level)
- 3 years of experience in Data Engineering (DE II level)
- Advanced to expert-level SQL development experience.
- Strong experience designing and optimizing complex SQL transformation logic.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake in enterprise data warehouse or analytics environments.

- Pipeline development
- Experience with CI/CD implementation patterns.
- Experience with GitHub Actions.
- Experience with AWS cloud services including:
- Amazon S3
- AWS Glue
- Exposure to:
- Apache Airflow DAG development
- Managed Airflow environments (MWAA)
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise data ecosystems.
- Experience with:
- SRE-style automation
- Monitoring
- Observability frameworks
- Healthcare domain experience including:
- PHI/PII data handling

- EDI 835/837 formats
