About the Role & Program
The Global Security Control Center (GSCC) is responsible for supporting emergency and non-emergency events researching global affairs incoming call mitigation event dispatching and event-driven global notification services 24 hours a day 7 days a an emergency the team advises and coordinates Disney enterprise assistance and support by providing technical and advisory support for the performance of crucial operational services the issuance of warnings of risks and hazards dissemination of employee information as well as serving the central communication intake point for management control and reduction of immediate threats to health and safety.

This internship is a full-time six-month commitment in the Burbank CA area from January 2027 June 2027.

What You Will Do
As a Data Analyst Intern you will join the Strategic Operations team and support an exploratory data-driven initiative focused on assessing GSCC data sources reporting needs and opportunities to improve operational insight and executive-level day is unique in this role. Depending on the project phase you maybe responsible for:
  • Assessing and documenting GSCC data sources workflows and reporting requirements.
  • Evaluating the quality accessibility and integration potential of disparate data sources across the enterprise.
  • Designing and developing proof-of-concept dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI or comparable business intelligence tools.
  • Conducting exploratory data analysis toidentifytrends gaps relationships and opportunities for operational insight.
  • Identifyingopportunities for automation process improvement and enhanced reporting capabilities.
  • Supporting the development of executive-level reports scorecards performance metrics and leadership-ready summaries.
  • Collaborating with the GSCC Specialist team mentors and business partners to understand operational requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Presenting findings feasibility assessments recommendations and project updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Assistingwith the development of a long-term data and reporting approach that supports GSCC operational effectiveness and decision-making.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Working knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence tools including Power BI Tableau or similar platforms.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel for data manipulation validation analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with basic database and query concepts including SQL or similar data retrieval methods.
  • Familiarity with data transformation light automation or scripting tools such as Power Query Python or equivalent technologies.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills including the ability to evaluate data quality and flowidentifygaps and assess the feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • Excellent written verbal and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical findings into clear concise leadership-ready summaries and reports.
  • Demonstrated professionalism sound judgment discretion and attention to detail when handling sensitive or confidential security-related information.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage ambiguity evolving requirements and multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently withappropriate guidancewhile collaborating closely with the GSCC Specialist team mentor and cross-functional partners.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft 365 applications including Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook and Teams with the ability to learnnew programsand technical systems quickly.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience developing dashboards reports or executive-level performance metrics using Power BI Tableau or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Experience integrating or analyzing data from multiple sources toidentifytrends relationships and operational insights.
  • Familiarity with data governance data quality assessment and reporting best practices.
  • Some experience with Python SQL Power Automate Power Query or other automation tools.
  • Interested in global security operations intelligence analysis risk assessment crisis management strategic operations security studies international relations or intelligence studies.
  • Experience presenting analytical findings to stakeholders in a professional or academic setting.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Coursework or academic projects involving data visualization business intelligence database management statistical analysis and/or predictive analytics.

Education
  • Junior or Senior year preferred
  • Major or previous coursework in Data Analytics Business Intelligence Information Systems Statistics ora relatedfield.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years ofage
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information
  • Candidate must be fully available to work full-timehours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship Monday-Friday during normal business hours.
  • This internship is an on-site position but also requires a working reliable internet connection as well as a quiet dedicated workspace for the days you may work from home.
  • Able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program
