Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

Meet minimum qualifications:
Bachelors degree in human service business or related field.
Three years of experience in the agency program or related program.

This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective July 1 2026.

The Vital Records Data Acquisition Program Officer plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive support to the State Registrar in all aspects of the States Vital Record System. The role of the Data Acquisition Program Officer entails offering expert advice on data acquisition to the team overseeing the accurate and prompt processing of crucial records and upholding compliance with federal and state laws. Additionally they are tasked with managing data acquisition preventing fraud and ensuring quality assurance within the Office of Vital Records. This role involves overseeing the seamless operation administration and program management of vital records vital statistics and vital events. Under the guidance of the State Registrar the Data Acquisition Program Officer provides crucial functions including routine correspondence with federal entities including the National Center for Health Statistics Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Social Security Administration.
