Job Description:

This recruitment will be used to fill four (4) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Proctor for the Disability Access Services at Oregon State University (OSU).
Testing Proctors at Disability Access Services (DAS) administer exams to DAS students in a professional manner. A proctor monitors the testing center environment to ensure academic integrity and facilitate exam instructions by the course instructor.

Position Duties:

  • Demonstrate high level of compliance to DAS Testing Center policies and procedures.

  • Maintain cheerful and welcoming environment.

  • Facilitate administration of exam per faculty instructions.

  • Validate student ID prior to each exam.

  • Implement assistive technology as needed.

  • Willingness to assist students as a 1:1 scribe or reader as needed.

  • Monitor the testing center environment identifying potential academic integrity issues.

  • Perform sanitizing of testing spaces high touch areas locker keys and pens.

  • Facilitate delivery of completed exams on campus as needed.

  • Maintain up to date availability and demonstrate ability to be on time and ready for each scheduled shift.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment

  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard

    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program

    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term

    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*

    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term

    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*


  • *International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered full-time by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by theOffice of International Services(OIS) and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Have availability to proctor during finals week.

    • Must maintain 2.5 GPA and have no prior academic violations.

    Working Conditions/Schedule:
    Testing proctors are required to work an average of 3-10 hours per week and are eligible for 24 hours of work per week. (Work Study students may work a maximum of 20 hours per week.)
    Work hours range Monday-Thursday 7:45am-10pm and Friday 7:45am-5pm.
    Proctors are expected to work during Finals week. Proctor shifts may be between 7:15am-11pm Monday-Thursday and Friday 7:15am-5pm. Proctors are generally scheduled 18-24 hrs. during finals.
    Have availability to proctor during finals week.
