Job Summary

Summary Description
Provide support for theclassroom teacher and building as outlined in the Work-Based Learning training plan.

Qualifications

  • Current High School Student
  • Must have completed and passed Cybersecurity 1
  • Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students teachers and parents.
  • Basic reading writing and computation skills; good written and oral communication skills; basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate well in a team environment.
  • Responsibility and integrity with dealing with personal information
  • This must fit into their schedule.
  • Must maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher at the homeschool.

Essential Duties

Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintaining functionality and troubleshooting issues with the Cyber- Lab hard ware and workstations
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting issues with network connectivity in the Cyber-Lab
  • Assist with preparing hardware workstation and network for hand-on-labs
  • Inventory and Identify issues with donated hardware
  • Assist in inventorying identifying issues and preparing donated VA star devices for donation
  • Verify fixes and functionality of client devices
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving building I.T. issues
  • Any other duties that may be assigned when necessary.

Placements

The Cybersecurity student assistant will be placed at Dowell J Howard.

Pay Rate
The rates for FY26: 1st year - $15.00
2nd year - $15.25
3rd year - $15.50
