Pay: $32-$52/hr (depends upon interview)

Job Description:

Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess plan implement and evaluate patient care plans.
Prepares and administers (orally subcutaneously through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
Educates patients on surgical procedures. Records patients medical information and vital signs.

Essential Functions:

Assessing planning implementing and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
Evaluating medical information as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients.
Preparing administering and recording prescribed medications.
Changing dressings inserting catheters and starting IVs.
Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed as well as interpreting and recording measurements.
Monitoring patients vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
Contributes to quality nursing practice.
Clinical Judgment: Using clinical reasoning conducts accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards. Identifies and prioritizes patient and family needs. Develops implements and evaluates the nursing plan of care. Modifies plan to meet clinical outcomes.
Clinical Inquiry: Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice including but not limited to nursing delicate indicators. Helps evidence-based practice changes through research utilization and experiential learning. Participates in quality/performance improvement initiatives.
Caring Practices: Creates an attentive helpful safe and therapeutic environment for patients families and staff. Develops therapeutic relationships with patient and family and maintains appropriate boundaries. Manages both fervid and physical pain with the aim of promoting relief and healing and preventing unnecessary suffering.
Response to Diversity: Recognizes appreciates and incorporates a patients and familys unique differences such as culture spiritual beliefs gender race ethnicity lifestyle socioeconomic status age and values into an individualized plan of care.

Skills:

Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside or if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency meet the licensure requirements in your home state or for Non-National License Compact states current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works. Primary Source Verification Required.
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to American Heart Association.
