This role serves as the site subject matter expert for customs compliance duty optimization supply chain security and government agency requirements while mitigating regulatory risk and supporting business continuity. Major Tasks Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesLead and manage site-level import and export compliance activities ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and applicable government agency tariff classification (HTSUS) customs valuation country of origin determinations and qualification for USMCA and other Free Trade implement and maintain trade compliance procedures internal controls work instructions and compliance monitoring customs brokers freight forwarders and third-party service providers to ensure accurate customs filings KPI performance and regulatory and oversee Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) operations CTPAT program requirements supply chain security initiatives and audit readiness import and export documentation for accuracy including commercial invoices certificates of origin broker instructions and supporting customs compliance audits risk assessments corrective action initiatives and post-entry activities including PSCs protests reconciliations and other CBP regulatory developments tariff changes trade remedies and enforcement trends while providing guidance and recommendations to business training and compliance guidance to Supply Chain Logistics Sourcing Engineering Finance Operations and other functional duty optimization duty drawback initiatives and business continuity planning through proactive identification and mitigation of trade-related duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelors degree in business Supply Chain International Trade Logistics Finance or a related (5) or more years of experience in import/export compliance customs compliance international trade or a related working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations tariff classification customs valuation country of origin determination recordkeeping requirements and broker with HTS classification USMCA/FTA qualification customs documentation review and CBP post-entry pass any drug screens background checks and any pre-employment tests which will be conducted in accordance with applicable pass any drug screens background checks and any pre-employment tests which will be conducted in accordance with applicable QualificationsLicensed Customs Broker (LCB).Experience supporting Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) operations and compliance with CTPAT programs supply chain security initiatives and trade risk with CBP Reconciliation processes duty drawback programs and tariff mitigation industry experience supporting high-volume import and export Skills Abilities & CompetenciesStrong problem-solving and analytical to work in a high-stress -oriented and able to work approach to resolving issues impacting various groups across the to understand processes (system and non-system) troubleshoot develop and recommend working in a dynamic environment and be a self-motivated team knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word Excel PowerPoint Teams and Microsoft knowledge of U.S. Customs and international trade compliance to interpret regulatory requirements and implement practical business verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the utilizing ERP systems ACE Portal broker portals and trade compliance organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and compliance initiatives to develop and deliver effective compliance training programs for business ConditionsBoth office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory to noise and temperature RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those required of an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
