The Fire Department of Liberty Township is seeking an Entry Level Customer Service Representative to join our team in Clayton. This full-time remote position offers a rewarding opportunity to serve the community within the public safety industry. As a Customer Service Representative you will be the first point of contact for residents providing essential information and support related to fire department services and public safety initiatives.

In this role you will handle inquiries process requests and ensure that community members receive accurate and timely assistance. You will work closely with department personnel to coordinate responses maintain records and uphold the departments commitment to public service. Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming calls emails and online inquiries from residents and community members
  • Provide accurate information regarding fire department services programs and public safety procedures
  • Process and route requests for non-emergency services to appropriate department personnel
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Assist with scheduling inspections community events and public education programs
  • Escalate urgent or complex issues to supervisors or relevant departments as needed
  • Follow up on pending inquiries to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery and communication processes
  • Adhere to department policies confidentiality standards and public safety protocols
  • Participate in training sessions to stay informed about department updates and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in customer service call center or public-facing roles is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems email and data entry
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
