As a Custom Protection Officer Armed Customer Service in Rockville MD you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a retail location. You will conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents respond to security-related concerns and provide professional customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients visitors and congregants by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a retail and public gathering location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances medical emergencies and other critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas exterior grounds parking areas entry points and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required documentation including incident reports patrol logs and daily activity reports while following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement security (such as Military Police Elite Military Forces combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement adult corrections or firefighter field
  • Bachelors degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
  • A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
  • Associates degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
