Custodian

Providence Staffings client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join their team in Phenix City AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean safe and sanitary facility while ensuring a professional appearance throughout the building. This position requires someone who takes pride in their work follows safety procedures and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Job Duties

• Clean and maintain offices hallways break rooms restrooms and common areas.
• Sweep mop vacuum and buff floors as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms including toilets sinks mirrors and fixtures.
• Restock restroom supplies including soap paper towels and toilet tissue.
• Dust furniture windowsills vents and other surfaces.
• Clean interior glass windows and entryways.
• Maintain break rooms by cleaning tables countertops appliances and sinks.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Report maintenance issues safety hazards or damaged equipment promptly.
• Follow all company safety policies and properly handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums floor scrubbers buffers and mops.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds stand bend stoop and walk for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record are required.

Compensation

Pay: $11.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full-time

• Day shift (hours may vary based on client needs)
