Incentives and Bonuses

Duties
  • Cleans rooms corridors stairways and common areas. Sweeps mops vacuums scrubs strips and polishes using brooms mops lightweight equipment such as vacuum cleaners and lightweight floor scrubbers waxers and buffers.
  • Dusts waxes and polishes furniture and fixtures.
  • Cleans disinfects and deodorizes bathroom and toilet facilities. Empties trash.
  • Make beds and changes linen. Washes mirrors walls windows and blinds. Provides and replenishes toiletries and room condiments.
  • Notes condition of room and report any conditions requiring maintenance or repair. Maintains stock of room and cleaning supplies and condiments to perform assigned duties.

  • Must attend Team Member Orientation within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
  • Must be willing to work rotating shifts.
  • Must be willing to work days evenings weekends and holidays.
  • All employees are required to be available for Community Events that Business Operations Division supports. The events include but not limited to Oktoberfest Freedom Fest Childrens Fest and Winterfest and The Haunted Trail.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Required standing and walking on hard and carpeted surfaces with some bending lifting carrying pushing and pulling of items and carts weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • This is a flexible position. Flexible positions have no guaranteed hours. A flexible employee serves in a continuing position on a scheduled or as needed basis.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Drivers License.
Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicants relevant experience skills knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Applicant must be able to follow simple oral instructions and use hand or light weight powered cleaning tools and equipment as described which generally require no prior or previous work experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Must have the ability to follow instructions and read signs. Must have a basic knowledge of common cleaning solvents cleaning tools and equipment. Must be able to remove different kinds of stains from a wide variety of surfaces. Must be able to troubleshoot make adjustments and perform minor repair and maintenance of equipment.

In addition to the above qualifications candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered Highly Preferred or Best Qualified:
Possess at least three (3) months of custodial experience. This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered best qualified.

  • This job is open to candidates who live in the local commuting area (U.S. Citizens and Non U.S. Citizens that live within 50 miles of Ft. Rucker AL). Allowances and Differentials
  • This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time regular part-time and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) and differentials will not be paid contingent upon eligibility.
