Job Summary
A cushion gluer in a furniture plant sprays and applies liquid adhesives to bond foam fiber and fabric sub-components. Key tasks include operating glue guns aligning core materials and maintaining clean equipment.
Core Responsibilities
- Adhesive Application: Spray liquid glue accurately onto foam blocks
- Component Assembly: Press and align individual cushion parts together firmly to form a unified high-quality cushion.
- Quality Control: Inspect foam and glued pieces for correct shapes lumps gaps or weak adhesion before final casing.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean spray nozzles clear lines and perform routine upkeep on glue equipment.
Requirements
- Physical Strength: Stand for a full shift and lift push or carry materials weighing up to 30 to 40 pounds.
- Skills: Good hand-eye coordination basic math/reading skills and the ability to follow production work tickets.
- Experience: Prior factory or glue-spraying experience in a Furniture manufacturing setting is required.

Required Skills:
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent required. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement volume and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
