Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Heats and prepares convenience food in accordance with the current meal plan. : 20%
  • Child enrollment: pre-enrollment work assist with the completion of paperwork assist parents with CCAP paperwork for assistance with tuition generate contracts for services ensure compliance with health and immunization requirements. : 20%
  • Accounting and compliance with external regulations like the federal food program (CACFP) subsidized childcare contracts and reporting (CCAP DHS DCFS) ensure that parent billing is accurate and on-time track inventory and purchase center supplies with a P-Card assist with time reporting. : 15%
  • Serve and deliver meals to classrooms ensuring compliance with food quantity and safety guidelines. This includes carrying a tray or pushing a cart (requires the ability to push a food cart to the other building at weights estimated between 25-40 lbs.). Empties each classroom trashcan after meals and takes to the dumpster for disposal. : 10%
  • Creates a weekly shopping list for food and related items needed for meal services weekly and works with GFS to order and check inventory when delivered. Creates monthly menus following CACFP guidelines. Works cooperatively with the Director and other staff and families. Unloads and stocks packages when delivered while monitoring the condition of the packaging. : 10%
  • Works cooperatively with classroom staff and families to determine accurate meal counts and to follow food restrictions of children with allergies. : 5%
  • Maintain Sangamon County Health code by cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment dishes appliances countertops and floors (including all prep areas) after each use and at the end of the day. : 5%
  • Reception- answer phone and door. : 5%
  • Maintains an awareness of pertinent industry information by completing 20 hours of continuing education annually. Must meet all general requirements for personnel as stated in the DCFS regulations (section 407.100). May be asked to assist with children as needed. : 5%
  • Performs other duties as assigned ( including but not limited to assisting with laundry cleaning and sanitizing of toys etc.) : 5%
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    school diploma or equivalent.
    2. Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the categories below:
    a. College coursework in any curriculum as measured by the following conversion table or
    its proportional equivalent:b.
    30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
    Associates Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
    90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
    Bachelors Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
    b. Work experience performing office/clerical activities including the use of computer
    systems.
    3. One (1) year (12 months) of work experience comparable to the second level of this
    series.
