Link is looking for a motivated Credit Risk Summer Intern to join the team in Chicago. This intern will support credit analysis and portfolio monitoring while gaining hands-on exposure to commercial real estate tenant underwriting and credit risk management. The role is well suited for a student who enjoys working with financial data identifying trends and translating analysis into clear business recommendations.
What You Will Do:
- Analyze borrower and tenant financial statements including income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Conduct initial credit reviews and prepare concise written credit summaries
- Calculate and monitor key financial metrics credit indicators and covenant compliance.
- Review public filings industry data and other relevant sources to support credit assessments.
- Maintain accurate customer financial records and assist with ongoing portfolio monitoring.

Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Real Estate or a related field with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Foundational knowledge of financial statement analysis and corporate finance concepts.
- Prior internship research coursework or project experience in finance banking commercial real estate or accounting preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in credit underwriting risk management or commercial real estate.
- Strong analytical organizational and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a professional environment.
$30/hour represents the presently anticipated base compensation pay range for this position at Link. Actual pay may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location and experience.
