Job Summary

Crane Technician Opportunity Summary:

Crane Technicians are responsible for inspection maintenance troubleshooting and repair of cranes and forklifts. They ensure crane safety and operational efficiency by diagnosing electrical hydraulic and mechanical issues repairing components and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Job Duties:

  • Performs accurate failure analysis and troubleshooting using appropriate tooling.
  • Maintains safe functionality of cranes.
  • Discusses findings with customer proposing solutions that optimize customer satisfaction while maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Creates job repair plan based on diagnosis to include repair operations required and anticipated repair hours needed to complete repair.
  • Travels to customers location to perform repairs when necessary.
  • Maintains own tool inventory adequate to perform assigned repairs and complies with company Technician Tool policies. Uses companys tools in accordance with Company Tool policies.
  • Develop accurate records of repairs performed and parts used to assist in the proper filing of warranty claims and/or customer invoices.
  • Responds promptly to after-hour call-out service at the request of management.
  • Attends training programs and learns on-the-job to gain the proficiencies on existing product lines necessary to move to the next Technician level in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Follows all safety regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area.

Work Experience and Qualifications:

  • Two-year certificate from college or technical school and 6-months to one-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience or Manufactures certification.
  • CLD Required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems circuitry and diesel engines
  • Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
