Job Summary
Located in Redmond Washington DigiPen Institute of Technology is a private college that offers undergraduate degree programs in Computer Science Game Design Digital Audio and Music and Digital Art and Animation as well as Masters degree programs in Computer Science and Digital Art.
Reports to: Department Chair
Adjunct Faculty as Course Instructor for the program.
DigiPen is seeking experienced and passionate practitioners in Artificial Intelligence to teach courses for our online Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MSAI) program. This is an exciting opportunity to interact with and develop the next generation of AI practitioners using our cutting-edge curriculum that prepares students for leadership roles in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence.
Our online MSAI program combines rigorous academic foundations with practical industry-relevant applications. Students engage with state-of-the-art techniques in machine learning deep learning natural language processing computer vision and ethical AI development. The program is designed for working professionals and recent graduates seeking to advance their careers in AI. Graduates of this program will be ready to contribute to their industry with the appropriate technical skills and workplace practices whether in a remote or onsite work environment.
Course Instruction
- Primary responsibilities include the day-to-day operation of one or more courses offered by our 100% online asynchronous Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence program
- Facilitate meaningful discussions and interactive learning experiences in virtual classrooms
- Provide timely constructive feedback on student work and maintain regular office hours
Course Quality & Alignment
- Provide content updates as necessary to keep the course material current
- Ensure course content is technically accurate industry-relevant and appropriate for an online learning environment
- Stay current with developments in AI technology pedagogy and industry applications
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues to maintain curriculum quality and coherence
- Contribute to program assessment and continuous improvement efforts
- Masters degree in Computer Science Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Data Science or a closely related field
- Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in AI/ML (development or applied research)
- Strong expertise in at least one of the following areas: machine learning deep learning natural language processing computer vision reinforcement learning or AI ethics
- Proficiency with Python and major AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch TensorFlow scikit-learn etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Demonstrated teaching experience
- Experience with online learning platforms and virtual instruction methodologies
- Experience teaching in online or hybrid learning environments
- Proven ability to engage and support diverse student populations
- Published research in AI-related conferences or journals
- Experience mentoring graduate students or early-career professionals
- Contributions to open-source AI projects or educational resources
- Knowledge of current trends in responsible AI and ethical considerations in AI development
