Our Client is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support the planning design and pricing of bids for large-scale dredging projects. The ideal candidate will have strong estimating analytical and project planning skills with the ability to develop accurate cost estimates review project plans and specifications and present estimates to senior management. This position offers significant exposure to executive leadership and opportunities for professional growth while working alongside an experienced team of industry professionals.

Work Setup: Hybrid 4 days in office / 1 day remote
Compensation: $110000 $125000 per year
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate and detailed cost estimates for hard-bid projects.
Develop execution plans and cost estimates for large-scale dredging projects.
Review and summarize key elements of project plans drawings specifications and bid documents.
Develop clear and concise overview drawings for project presentations and bid discussions.
Present project execution plans and estimates during bid review sessions with senior management.
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills throughout the estimating process.
Work closely with various support departments in a collaborative team environment.
Manage multiple estimating assignments and project tasks while effectively prioritizing deadlines.
Provide estimating support to on-site Project Managers during project execution.
Update and monitor project costs production and budgets throughout construction.
Assist in evaluating project requirements risks production assumptions and cost drivers.
Communicate estimating assumptions findings and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders.
Participate in continuous learning knowledge sharing and mentoring within the estimating team.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience in cost estimating construction estimating project controls or a related field is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to review and interpret project plans specifications and related technical documentation.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in developing project estimates.
Ability to develop clear and concise project documentation and overview drawings.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively present estimates and project information to senior management.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative cross-functional team environment.
