Lears Strategy & Corporate Development team drives inorganic growth and portfolio optimization across one of the worlds largest automotive suppliers. As a Corporate Development Analyst youll work at the intersection of strategy and execution supporting transactions that shape Lears competitive position and long-term value creation.
Your work will include but not be limited to:
- Work directly with senior leadership to develop presentations and analysis supporting key investment decisions
- Support execution across a portfolio of acquisitions divestitures joint ventures partnerships and other innovative deal structures that advance Lears strategic priorities
- Source screen and propose investment partnership and M&A opportunities
- Build and maintain financial models for acquisition targets including valuation financial statement analysis NPV and discounted cash flow analysis
- Analyze new opportunities in adjacent and existing markets including ongoing assessment of strategic options
- Conduct market research on key industry trends competitive dynamics and issues impacting the Company
- Work cross-functionally to align deal strategy with partners and stakeholders across business units
- Perform peer benchmarking analyses and monitor sell-side research estimates and models
- Support due diligence and deal closing activities
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting business engineering or related field
- 24 years of experience in Corporate Development Investment Banking or related transactional roles
- Ability to independently build and maintain complex financial models including DCF LBO and comparable company analyses
- Strong foundation in corporate finance and accounting
- Ability to synthesize complex market and financial data into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- High standard of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Clear concise communicator both written and verbal and capable of translating complex topics for executive audiences
- Proficient in Excel PowerPoint FactSet or Capital IQ; familiarity with data and analytics platforms (e.g. Palantir Foundry Tableau Power BI) is a plus
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn new tools while adapting to project-specific requirements
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree or credential
- Experience with automotive industry trends supply chain dynamics or mobility technology research
- Direct exposure to relevant transactional activity
