Philo delivers a live TV streaming experience thats smarter simpler and moredelightful than anything else out there. Philos vMVPD service includes 70channels including top-tier networks like Paramount Network AMC LifetimeComedy Central Discovery Nickelodeon and MTV unlimited DVR and whenmade available as part of Philos Bundle service ad-supported premium servicesHBO AMC and discovery. Philo also makes available premium add-ons likeSTARZ and MGM and a FAST (free ad-supported streaming) service with morethan 150 channels.

The Legal Team

Our Legal Teams mission is to be a true partner to the business deliveringpractical creative solutions that help Philo move fast and win. Were a smallhigh-impact team: a CLO a tight in-house group and relationships with topoutside firms. We punch well above our weight and were growing. Youll be ameaningful part of that working out of our Brooklyn NY office where two seniorlawyers and our CEO CFO and other high-level executives are also situated.

What Youll Do

Youll sit at the intersection of law and deal-making working hand-in-hand with two senior lawyers supporting our content acquisition and business development teams on the deals that define what content Philo offers and how we grow. Thatmeans negotiating and drafting the real thing content license agreementsplatform deals production agreements vendor MSAs and SOWs and IOs. Notreviewing. Not supervising. Actually in the room driving deals to close.

Beyond the deal table youll be the kind of lawyer who leans into whatever the business needs releases clearances IP questions takedowns technology/SAAS agreements the occasional thing nobody saw coming. Youll help build out ourlegal playbooks develop templates and best practices and make the teamsmarter and more efficient over time.

This is a role with real scope real autonomy and real impact from day one.

What You Bring

• 510 years of legal experience including hands-on experience withtelevision licensing (network affiliation FAST); experience with platformdeals a plus
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active New York Barmembership
• The instincts to give practical business-savvy advice not just legallycorrect but actually useful
• A low ego and a high output: youd rather solve problems than protect turf
• Genuine enthusiasm for media and entertainment you care about theproduct and the industry not just the deals

Location:Brooklyn New York (hybrid 3 days onsite per week)
Compensation: Includes annual salary between $210K - $275K depending on experience and location company stock options and health benefits.
