Job Summary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree preferred;
- Minimum of five (5) years successful classroom teaching using technology in a K-12 setting with multi-grade level experience preferred;
- Valid Texas Administrator/principal certification;
- Strong analytical problem-solving interpersonal and communcation skills (written and verbal; technical and non-technical communication skills);
- Effective oral and written communication skills to create compose and edit written materials such as training documents websites and emails;
- Ability to work successfully under direction independently and in conjunction with other district team members that have varying levels of technical expertise;
- Ability to prioritize tasks and juggle multiple activities and projects;
- Ability to read understand and communicate technical materials and concepts;
- Documented experience with:
tool-based software Digital Learning Tools curriculum software Microsoft Google Adobe Gemini (AI) and the Internet.
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues as it pertains to classroom instruction.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Probationary/Term Contract: 230 days
SALARY:
$64255 (BA 4)
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate the development review delivery and update of district-wide training classes to provide consistency in delivery and to focus on utilizing bond purchased hardware and district-approved software in an instructional setting.
- Manage district-wide technology classes (district needs course availability scheduling timesheets)
- Collaborate and advise in the selection and purchase of instructional software hardware and other electronic instructional resources with the Curriculum and Instruction and Technology Services Departments.
- Facilitate support and train on utilizing video conferencing tools (Google Meet Microsoft Teams) to support classroom instruction.
- Work collaboratively with Technology Services to provide technician training on specific hardware such as Promethean panels Lightspeed Audio other approved software as well as updates from Curriculum and Instruction.
- Facilitate plan and support training for the Instructional Technology Liaisons.
- Plan and provide training and support to paraprofessionals in the Curriculum and Instruction Department to promote more efficiency in their jobs.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Instructional Technology to facilitate plan and support the production of the Digital Learning Conference EdTech Live and other district-level functions involving Instructional Technology.
- Organize and maintain the Instructional Technology Department website and social media accounts.
- Participate actively in Instructional Technology professional organizations and encourage teacher participation.
- Create and maintain an updated library of asynchronous classes for CFISD Staff in Schoology highlighting best practices of EdTech tools in an instructional setting.
- Meet regularly with vendor partners for updates and advocating for CFISD needs/uses.
- Support the Digital Credit Recovery Platform.
- Attends campus instructional walks with content coordinators and directors to evaluate instructional technology use from a curriculum perspective.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendents of Curriculum and Instruction and /or Director of Instructional Technology.
