Job Summary
This position is located at: Fort Campbell KY Golf Course 19th Hole Snack Bar.
This is a Flexible position (0-40 hours per week) with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans.

- Performs a full range of simple cooking by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing such as pancakes sausage eggs hamburgers and fresh or canned vegetables.
- Prepares food by peeling chopping grinding paring cutting slicing dicing pureeing dredging flouring or breading. Weighs measures and assembles ingredients for regular and modified menu items.
- Operates a variety of kitchen equipment using gas electricity steam or microwave heat sources. Disassembles cleans and assembles component parts and accessories following safety procedures to avoid personal injury and damage to the equipment.
- Cleans other work areas and equipment such as worktables floors walk-in refrigerators etc. on an established cleaning schedule. Follows established sanitation procedures when handling food.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 para.2 to include a medical examination.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
- Must be able to work during the hours of operations to include weekends nights holidays and special events held throughout the year.
- Must be able to lift or move objects up to 40 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift or move objects weighing over 40 pounds with the assistance of other workers or lifting devices.
- Requires constantly standing bending stooping walking and reaching.
- Employee is exposed to steam fumes odors from cooking and to extreme temperature changes. Must stand on tile floor subject to burns cuts and slipping on wet floors.

Qualification Requirements are:
- Work experience in preparing foods and cooking simple foods and short orders in a cafeteria restaurant or mess.
- Demonstration of the following work behavior is desirable: neatness and good grooming dependability and ability to work under pressure.
- 6 months of work experience in the Food and Beverage industry.
- Possess outstanding customer service skills.
- Experience serving and mixing alcoholic beverages

- This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
- All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
- Regular full-time regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employees regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employees regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
