Job Description:

Beth Israel New England Baptist is looking for a full-time Cook.

Position Functions:

foods byoperatinga variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients washing peeling cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables and trimming and cutting meatpoultryor fish for culinary use.

small to large batch goods using advanced and full range of classical and contemporary cookingplatingand garnishing techniques.

Follows complex recipes and/or product directions for preparing seasoning cooking tastingcarvingand serving soups meats vegetablesdessertsand other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments.

products reads menus estimates food requirements check production and keep recordsin order toaccurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies andequipment

the highest quality of service to customers at all prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte station

with standardizedrecipes per menuand/or menucycle prepares bakery items receives inventory moves and lifts foodstuffs and supplies and prepares meals for customers requiring special diets.

all department in-service training departmentmeetingsand safety meetings

comfortable with basic computer programs- FMS capable of pulling standardized recipes off the system when needed

cleansworkarea throughout the day and at the end of each shift.

adheres to all HACCP and Safety policies and procedures including documentation of HACCP Logs.

Education:

High School or equivalent preferred

Pay Range:

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors that may include seniority education training relevant experience relevant certifications geographyof work location job responsibilities or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials call pay premium pay overtime pay and other additional pay practices as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
