Job Duties: Cook

• Responsible for meal production including preparation of hot and cold meals as required by daily menus.

• Follows and understands recipes provided by the Director of Culinary or Chef

• Understands and follows modified diet plans.

• Monitors food quality and quantity to ensure service standards are maintained. Take corrective action if necessary.

• Shows initiative and time awareness of peak periods to meet productions standards. Works with culinary team to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency.

• Follows infection control techniques in all work and practices. Utilizes sanitary work practice while handling food.

• Follows waste control measures to avoid over and under production and to properly utilize leftovers.

• Attend educational seminars and in-services as required.

• Completes other duties and assists with special projects as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalency required. Culinary education is preferred

• Minimum of one year cooking experience. Experience with quantity cooking and modified diet preferred
• SERV Safe certification preferred

• Ability to speak write and understand English language

• Attendance is an essential function

Available Shifts:

• Full Time 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
