Work Hours: Full Time/Day Shift
Work Location: St. Petersburg FL
Position Summary:
- The Controls Technician Level II installs programs and troubleshoots building automation systems that control HVAC and related mechanical equipment.
- This role bridges mechanical systems and software platforms ensuring equipment operates efficiently and according to sequence of operations.
- The technician works independently on moderately complex tasks and supports system optimization efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum 2 Years of Experience
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems and control wiring.
- Working knowledge of BAS/BMS platforms and programming logic.
- Experience integrating systems using BACnet Modbus or similar protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex technical issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency using laptops diagnostic software and testing equipment.
- Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys is a plus.
Salary Range: Minimum 20.93/hour - Maximum 33.48/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
