NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Controller Consultant to join our Sacramento team. This is a hands-on role for an accounting leader who can quickly step into client environments strengthen financial operations and provide Controller-level leadership.

Construction accounting experience is required with strong knowledge of job costing WIP reporting project accounting and revenue recognition. Experience across additional industries is highly valued.

• Serve as a Controller-level resource for multiple clients

• Lead month-end close financial reporting reconciliations and general ledger activities

• Manage construction accounting including job costing WIP project profitability and revenue recognition

• Support budgeting forecasting cash flow and financial analysis

• Improve accounting processes controls and reporting

• Partner directly with owners executives and operational leaders

• Support ERP implementations and system/process improvements

• Stay hands-on in the accounting while providing strategic financial guidance

• Controller Assistant Controller Accounting Manager or similar leadership experience

• Construction accounting experience required

• Strong knowledge of job costing WIP project accounting and revenue recognition

• Strong GAAP and full-cycle accounting knowledge

• Experience across multiple industries preferred

• Hands-on adaptable leadership style

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• CPA and/or public accounting experience is a plus

• ERP implementation experience is highly valued

Must live within reasonable commuting distance of Sacramento CA and be comfortable traveling to client locations as needed.
