Contract Psychiatrist for Children's Day Treatment

Job Summary
Are you passionate about helping children and families access the support they need to succeed Seeking a Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide services for students enrolled in the Day Treatment Program a therapeutic partnership with OCM BOCES and TST BOCES.
About the Program:
Students in the Day Treatment program receive comprehensive mental health services that are integrated into their academic program. Join our integrated team of providers including social workers psychologists a child psychiatrist a psychiatric nurse practitioner and a medication coordinator. Our high level of staffing allows us to provide an intensive level of assessment mental health support and skill building. We serve ages 5 21 from eight component school districts.
We are seeking a contracted provider for approximately 8 appointments a week with flexible scheduling.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and credentialing.
- Develop working diagnoses for each assigned child so that treatment interventions can be designed that enhance the childs socialemotionaland behavioral functioning and reflect The Centers values as defined in the Mission Vision Guiding Principles and Code of Conduct
- Direct services to children:Provide psychiatric assessments and treatment recommendations
- Role on multidisciplinary team: Understand andutilizethe perspectives and techniques of other team members
- Role with families:Keep families fully informed of issues affecting their children and the program
- Reporting requirements:Complete all written assessments as per OMH and program guidelines
- Education/Certification:NYS license as a psychiatrist; board certification as a child and adolescent psychiatrist preferred.
- Experience:Experience in thediagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems
- Qualities:Ability tooperatestandard office equipment ability to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.Responsibility to contribute to a culture thatincludes:Respect care and support for everyone teamworkcommunicationand cooperation.
