Job Summary

Georgia Power isseeking an experiencedContract Coordinator IIto manage contractor activities supporting electric distribution construction maintenance and storm restoration projects. This role is responsible for coordinating contract crews ensuring safe and efficient project execution monitoring contractor performance and supporting project scheduling quality and budget objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive distribution construction experience and strong contract management communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage contract crews supporting overhead and underground distribution construction maintenance and storm restoration.

Schedule and plan contractor work to meet safety quality productivity and customer service objectives.

Attend pre-construction meetings and coordinate project execution with engineering operations contractors and customers.

Monitor contractor performance contract compliance budgets schedules and project quality.

Review and manage contract documents amendments and project closeout activities.

Maintain project documentation inventory and contract records.

Collaborate with Legal Procurement Engineering and Operations on contract-related matters.

Analyze drawings blueprints specifications and construction packages.

Resolve contractor issues mitigate project risks and support dispute resolution.

Support emergency response and participate in storm restoration activities as required.

Mentor junior contract coordinators and promote continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

7 years of electric distribution engineering and/or construction experience.

Extensive knowledge of overhead and underground electric distribution systems.

Experience managing contract crews and construction contractors.

Strong understanding of construction scheduling project planning and quality control.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook Excel Word).

Ability to interpret engineering drawings blueprints and technical specifications.

Strong communication negotiation leadership and decision-making skills.

Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience withDistribution Viewer ARMS CSS TCMS and JETS.

Utility industry experience supporting electric distribution operations.

Experience managing multiple projects across a large service territory.

Knowledge of utility contract administration procurement and construction standards.
