Contact Lens Technician

What You Will Do:

• Coordinate the ordering and maintaining of contact lenses.
• Accurately gather document and handle patient contact lens orders and payments.
• Teach patients how to care for and use contact lenses.
• Verify insurance benefits per patient request file contact lens claims for any patients wishing to use their insurance benefits.
• Cross-train to perform other tasks including diagnostic testing and administrative front desk duties.

What You Will Bring:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Completion of a contact lens optician or ophthalmic assistant or technician program strongly preferred (COA or COT)
• Experience working as a contact lens technician optician ophthalmic technician or scribe is preferred
• Experience with EMR tools a plus
• Proficient with MS Office tools (outlook excel word)
