Job Summary

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Prior experience in one or more of the following:

    • Collections

    • Funding

    • Dealer Services

    • Lease End

    • Customer Service

  • 1 years experience in automotive finance or related financial services preferred.

  • Familiarity with automotive dealer operations or sales processes a plus.

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Ability to manage high inbound phone volume in a professional and efficient manner.

  • Ability to effectively communicate credit decisions to dealers and internal sales teams including explaining the why behind decisions.

  • Sound judgment in credit decisioning or recommending credit transactions under pressure.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume office environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Analytical with high attention to detail.

  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills.

Job Schedule

  • Rotating schedule includingand 12-9

  • Mandatory 3 Saturdays a month

  • Weekends and Holidays

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Consumer Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating consumer credit applications and assessing applicants creditworthiness in accordance with established underwriting guidelines credit policy and risk management standards. This role supports responsible lending decisions by analyzing financial data credit reports and supporting documentation while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

1. Consumer Credit Underwriting

  • Process and make credit decisions on applications submitted through LOS; manage dealer inbound calls and place outbound calls (6 hours per day) to review applications communicate decisions and resolve stipulations based on appropriate authority level.

  • Underwrite consumer credit applications received from auto dealers using approved credit policies scoring models and risk guidelines.

  • Analyze credit bureau data income verification debt obligations and stability indicators to determine credit risk.

  • Approve condition counteroffer or decline credit requests in accordance with underwriting authority.

  • Partner with sales operations and customer service teams to resolve credit conditions or documentation issues.

  • Communicate credit decisions and conditions clearly and professionally to internal stakeholders.

  • Support escalations and reviews requiring additional analysis or judgment.

  • Clearly document credit decisions and rationale in credit and contract management systems.

  • Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and Dealers to resolve credit and finance issues. Support the Field team and Funding department by solving credit finance and compliance issues.

2. Risk Management & Policy Adherence

  • Ensure credit decisions comply with internal credit standards and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. Fair Lending ECOA FCRA).

  • Identify potential fraud misrepresentation or heightened risk indicators and escalate as appropriate.

  • Provide input on emerging credit trends or risk patterns affecting portfolio performance.

3. Portfolio & Performance Support

  • Monitor assigned segments of the consumer credit portfolio for delinquency trends exception levels and loss drivers.

  • Assist in credit quality reviews audits or post booking analyses.

  • Support reporting on approval rates exception volumes and other underwriting performance metrics.
