The Instructor/Coordinator Construction Workforce at Laramie County Community College is a full-time benefited position responsible for leading the development delivery and continuous growth of construction trades workforce education within the Career & Technical Workforce (CTW) Department. This position serves as the instructional and programmatic lead for CTWs accelerated workforce training initiatives including the Essential Systems Technician (EST) Program construction trades programs and future skilled trades workforce pathways. Working collaboratively with employers industry associations instructors and community partners the Instructor/Coordinator develops and delivers workforce education that responds to local labor market needs while strengthening the regional skilled trades talent pipeline.
This position oversees day-to-day logistics including course scheduling space and equipment coordination instructional materials preparation and communication with adjunct instructors and support staff. The coordinator also manages essential program data functions such as enrollment tracking attendance credential attainment instructor hours and evaluation outcomes to support reporting compliance and continuous improvement efforts.
The Instructor/Coordinator combines classroom instruction program development employer engagement and workforce pathway development to prepare students for immediate employment while creating stackable educational opportunities that support long-term career advancement throughout Wyomings construction industry. - Principal Responsibilities and Results KSAs

- Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Skilled Trades or related field; or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
- Five years of progressively responsible experience within the trades industry.
- Demonstrated experience in one or more construction disciplines such as carpentry drywall concrete residential construction commercial construction or building maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience delivering training and instruction In lieu of the required degree candidates with equivalent professional experience industry certifications or a combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
- Journeyman-level experience in a construction trade.
- NCCER Certified Instructor credentials or ability to obtain.
- Experience teaching adults or workforce education.
- Experience developing curriculum.
- Experience coordinating workforce or apprenticeship programs.
- Grant-funded program experience.
