Job Summary
The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is seeking a motivated detail-oriented individual to serve as a Construction Technology Specialist within the eConstruction Section of the Construction and Materials Bureau (CMB). This is a full-time position located in Berlin VT.
The Construction Technology Specialist IV serves as the lead trainer and guidance librarian for the Construction Management IT System (CMS) and related Bureau technologies. It is a position of leadership and a high degree of independence in judgment and workload management is expected. At this level the incumbent shall possess expert knowledge of CMS functionality construction and materials management business processes and document and resource management utilizing SharePoint.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the development coordination and implementation of training curricula and guidance materials to ensure CMB software users can effectively utilize such technology.
- Leading collaborative efforts with Construction and Materials staff to ensure training and guidance resources remain current and are updated in a timely and consistent manner.
- Utilizing SharePoint to host maintain and publish training and guidance resources and ensuring users have SharePoint access and can navigate these resources.
- Maintaining skills as an expert-level user of the Agencys Construction Management System and related technologies.
- Staying abreast of the Agencys construction and materials business processes for incorporation into training and guidance resources.

Bachelors degree in engineering data science data analysis geographic information systems information technology or other closely related field AND four (4) or more years of experience in a technical support role in a field related to construction.
OR
Associates degree in engineering data science data analysis geographic information systems information technology or other closely related field AND six (6) or more years of experience in a technical support role in a field related to construction.
OR
Eight (8) or more years of experience in a technical support role in a field related to construction.
