Columbia Construction is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial projects. Youll be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for managing site safety schedule subcontractor coordination and quality control all while upholding Columbias culture of excellence and collaboration.
This is a high-impact role ideal for a proactive solution-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and leads by example.
- Lead all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking to close-out.
- Champion jobsite safety and ensure compliance with Columbias Safety Program and OSHA regulations.
- Develop and maintain site logistics plans project schedules and look-ahead plans.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors vendors and field personnel with clarity and professionalism.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to align field execution with budget schedule and design intent.
- Conduct daily coordination meetings and weekly subcontractor meetings.
- Monitor work progress perform quality control and resolve field issues in real time
- Maintain detailed project documentation including daily reports and photos.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Columbia the client and all field operations.
- Foster a respectful solution-focused jobsite environment aligned with The Columbia Way.
- 8 years of relevant field experience in commercial construction with at least 3 years in a Superintendent role.
- Proven track record managing projects in sectors such as life sciences corporate interiors healthcare or higher education.
- Deep knowledge of construction means methods building codes and safety standards.
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6 MS Project) and construction management platforms (Procore preferred).
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Bachelors degree in construction management or related field preferred (not required).
