Summary of the role:


Coordinate internal process work aspects of the project cycle for residential and commercial projects. This may include management support of budget and timelines management of clients labor compliance and scheduling.


The role primarily involves handling and coordinating documents as well as the subcontractor process. This position works closely with the Project Manager to make sure subcontractors submit all required documents. It also maintains records in alignment with company policies and procedures. It is the responsibility of the individual in the Operations Specialist role to ensure that the prequalification process is completed for all new and potential addition to this the Operations Specialist ensures that scope schedules documents and updates are provided at weekly meetings.


What you will be doing (essential responsibilities):


  • Lead and coordinate the tracking management and successful completion of solar storage carport ground mount etc. projects from initial site visits scheduling through permission to operate (PTO)
  • Ensure clear communication with internal team external customers and representatives responsible for labor regulations to help identify define and meet project requirements scope and important metrics
  • Help prepare project proposals contracts timeframes schedules and budgets.
  • Handle and coordinate project scheduling to ensure smooth completion including organizing and scheduling site visits installations deliveries service calls inspections and appointments
  • Prepare and track project documentation and reporting for compliance due diligence and financials
  • Maintain flexibility to support office administration and organization including phones filing data entry errands etc.
  • Develop relevant measures to address any deficiencies identified
  • Maintain comprehensive records of quality assessments inspections and any non-conformities
  • Foster open and effective communication between collaborators including project teams clients and labor compliance representatives
  • Find opportunities for process improvement and standard methodologies to enhance overall project quality
  • Use cloud-based PM and CRM platforms spreadsheets and reporting systems (MS Office G Suite Salesforce etc.) ensuring on-track on-time and within budget projects
  • Compile weekly reports for management meetings
Requirements

Your areas of knowledge and expertise...


  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of solar coordination and operations with experience in solar electrical roofing ESS etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical construction including installation codes and safety issues
  • Excellent understanding of solar operations workflow as well as installation processes

Compensation:


The compensation range for this fulltime position is $30-35per hour. The base pay that will actually be offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge skills location experience and take into account internal equity.

Where you will sit & the places you may go


The ideal candidate will sit on-Site in San Diego. This position may require up to 25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects such as org-wide celebrations team building exercises etc. Availability to work nights and weekends may very rarely be required. GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle this instance applicants must hold a valid drivers license and have a good driving record.
