Are you passionate about creating safe sustainable and high-performing construction environments Join Hitachi Energy as a Construction HSE Specialist and play a vital role in protecting people projects and the environment across our construction operations.
In this highly visible role youll help drive a culture where safety is embedded in every decision and every phase of project execution. Working closely with project managers site supervisors contractors and field teams youll lead initiatives that identify and reduce risk ensure regulatory compliance and promote continuous improvement. From conducting site audits and delivering impactful training to investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions youll be a trusted partner in creating a workplace where everyone can perform at their best.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.
How youll make an impact
Develop implement and continuously improve construction HSE programs policies and procedures.
Conduct site inspections audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses while implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
Deliver engaging HSE training for employees and contractors on safety emergency response PPE and environmental protection.
Maintain accurate HSE documentation permits reports training records and incident logs.
Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE requirements into all phases of construction activities.
Monitor environmental performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and permit conditions.
Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement communication recognition programs and emergency preparedness initiatives.
Your background
Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of progressive HSE experience within construction infrastructure industrial or energy projects.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
Strong knowledge of OSHA EPA ANSI and other applicable federal state and local regulations.
Experience conducting incident investigations root cause analyses and developing corrective action plans.
CSP CIH or other relevant professional safety certifications are highly preferred.
