Job Summary

TheConcessions Worker prepares and serves concession items to guests. Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Utilizes a cash register and accepts payment. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.25 and is tip eligible.

Located in the heart of Bismarck the Bismarck Event Center is the regions premier destination for live entertainment conventions meetings sporting events and community gatherings. As the largest event and conference facility in western North Dakota the venue hosts a diverse range of events each year including concerts trade shows banquets conferences family shows and special events. - Assists in ensuring all food & beverage products are fully stocked in designated locations.
- Assist in building orders preparing food and packaging food and knowledge in all areas of concessions operations.
- Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels and communicating low-stock items to management.
- Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
- Serve beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages responsibly.
- Check guests ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
- Maintains sanitation health and safety standards in work areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Three or more months experience in the food service industry is preferred.
- Previous cash handling experience preferred or willingnessto learn to handle cash and learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system.
- Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly positive attitude with co-workers managers volunteers & guests.
- Must be available to work nights weekends and holidays as needed.
