    SUMMARY

    The Computer Support Manager provides clerical support and assistance to the Director of Technology Support. Coordinates plans and organizes efforts of the department under the guidance of the Technology Support Director; provides information to staff and the public operates equipment maintains inventory and supplies. Maintains high levels of confidentiality; exercises discretion within district policies and procedures.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Performs a variety of clerical duties related to technology teams. Operates general office equipment (e.g. computer copier). Exercises discretion within policies and procedures.
    • Performs confidential work collects data prepares detailed reports and correspondence greets visitors answers phone calls and responds to emails for the Technology Support Director.
    • Provides information regarding technology to staff students and parents according to prescribed procedures.
    • Maintains accurate records and filing systems; updates files and other specialized records related to the Technology Support department. Maintains high levels of confidentiality.
    • Coordinates and manages projects and activities for the department.
    • Coordinates workload and establishes priorities schedules and assignments of technology teams under the guidance of the Technology Support Director.
    • Manages the acquisition of equipment and supplies critical to department operations. Ensures proper care and maintenance of equipment.
    • Assists in budget preparation and management.
    • Coordinates staff training to maintain proficiency of standardized software/hardware.
    • Ensures quality control in the performance of advanced and confidential work processing and desktop publishing functions.
    • Supports the relationship between the Phoenix Union High School District and the public by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior when interacting with students parents visitors and school staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues client records and school information; follows Governing Board Policies; performs all other related duties as required or assigned.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School diploma or GED equivalent; three years of secretarial experience OR three years of computers telecommunications software and hardware and related technical equipment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Ability to type with accuracy at a rate required to perform functions effectively at a minimum of 60 wpm.
    • Ability to take dictation with accuracy at a rate required to perform functions effectively.
    • Ability to operate and maintain office equipment including computers and computer software.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing with students parents and staff.
    • Ability to create and maintain accurate records and compile reports.
    • Ability to communicate confidential and sensitive information effectively.
    • Knowledge of related District and Program policies and procedures.
    • Skill in understanding explaining and applying relevant rules regulations policies and procedures.
    • Skill in researching and compiling data for reports presentations and technical documents.
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.
    • Ability to provide excellent customer experiences including but not limited to interacting tactfully and courteously with the public.
