Position: Computational Genomics Statistical Bioinformatics Expert (PhD)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $120/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Complete realistic multi-step scientific data-analysis tasks in computational genomics quantitative biology and translational biomedicine.
• Independently inspect datasets perform quality control and execute analyses in R and Python.
• Navigate ambiguous research workflows by identifying key analytical decisions and potential confounders.
• Use scientific software code and command-line tools to generate reproducible analyses and structured outputs.
• Interpret results in the context of biological or translational questions communicating assumptions and conclusions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and AI research specialists.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in computational biology bioinformatics statistical genetics quantitative biology biostatistics genomics or related field.
• Deep experience analyzing biological or biomedical data especially genomics and related omics datasets.
• Professional fluency in R and Python.
• Strong foundation in statistical modeling and experimental design.
• Experience with multi-step computational research workflows.
• Clear scientific writing and documentation skills.

Preferred

• Familiarity with reproducible research practices including notebooks scripts and version control.
