Job Summary

Full-Time Benefits Eligible. Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This candidate will work at Rolla and Cuba locations.

The Community Support Specialist - Residential provides person-centered strength-based support to adults navigating behavioral health and substance use this role youll partner with individuals in residential and community settings to build skills foster independence and support progress toward personally defined wellness and recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized strengths-based services using a motivational stage-matched approach
  • Partner with individuals to identify goals and develop and update Wellness Plans
  • Provide holistic support across the Eight Dimensions of Wellness including physical and mental health
  • Coach and build skills in daily living communication employment/education and independent living
  • Support individuals in accessing community resources such as housing financial assistance and healthcare
  • Collaborate with integrated care teams and natural supports to ensure coordinated whole-person care
  • Assist with care transitions including hospital discharge planning and follow-up support
  • Accompany individuals to appointments and provide ongoing engagement and advocacy
  • Maintain timely accurate documentation and meet service expectations
  • Provide transportation as clinically indicated


Education Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • High School/GED required
  • Associates/Bachelors degree in a human service-related field preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must qualify for position based on overall CSS requirements in at least one of the options listed:
  • Qualified addiction professional;
  • Bachelors degree in a human services field from a college or university included in the U.S. Department of Educations database of accredited schools at http:/ ;
  • Any four-year degree or combination of higher education and qualifying experience;
  • Four years of qualifying experience; or
  • Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree as designated by the department.
  • Qualifying experience must include delivery of service to individuals with mental illness substance use disorders or developmental disabilities.
  • A valid unrestricted drivers license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
