Benefits:
Pay rate: $75000 - 78000 annually Full-time 40 hours a week
Up to 16 paid BACR holidays and 25 school holidays per year

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in management/administration and/or community development in a non-profit and/or human services setting
Experience with program planning and implementation including small and large collaborative meeting facilitation problem -solving and team building
Proven experience working with public school systems including the development of community schools and the creation and facilitation of community partnerships
Knowledge of evidence-based literacy strategies and a commitment to supporting student reading writing and language development across grade levels
Familiarity with STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) enrichment programming and its role in expanding equitable student opportunity
Demonstrated experience building sustaining and managing community and organizational partnerships to advance school goals and initiatives
Ability to design and implement culturally responsive family engagement strategies that build family capacity to support student learning
Demonstrated success in program planning/management activities furthering school success student achievement and positive child youth and family development
Preferred:
Bilingual English/Spanish
Bachelors degree in social work education or related field and three years of experience (experience may substitute education)
Experience working with low-income communities
Specific Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and vision to the program in collaboration with administration and other school staff youth and families community members and the school districts community school initiative.
Conduct ongoing needs/hopes assessment in order to identify gaps in programs and services as well as capacity and assets.
Establish nurture and manage quality internal and external partnerships creating an integrated service delivery system that supports student success and wellness. Utilize data from needs assessment and cultivate new partnerships that address service gaps.
Develop and co-facilitate Coordination of Services/CARE Team meetings with providers and school administration to make sure services are being provided in a successful and efficient manner.
Monitor achievement of project outcome goals and objectives. Responsible for all administrative tasks including designing systems record keeping and report writing and submission to both internal and external stakeholders.
Support the writing of grants and develop other resources to increase and sustain program services. Build alliances and identify resources among local community groups and agencies
Complete other duties as assigned and attend other site level community and District meetings as needed in support of the Community Schools Initiative.
Collect and analyze literacy-specific data (e.g. reading levels program participation tutoring outcomes) in partnership with instructional leadership to set goals track progress and inform continuous improvement of school-wide literacy efforts.
Integrate literacy STEAM and family engagement goals into the Community School Implementation Plan and SPSA to ensure alignment across all school priorities.
Advocacy
Serve as an advocate for the needs and interests of the schools staff students and their families in the broader community.
Participate in advocacy efforts that promote educational equity and social justice.
Champion equitable access to high-quality literacy resources STEAM programs and family engagement opportunities as a core component of the schools mission and community identity.
Advocate for sustainable funding policy support and community investment in literacy and STEAM initiatives that serve the schools students and families.
