Community Relations Specialist

Goddard Public Schools has an opening for a Community Relations Specialist. This position serves both the Goddard Public Schools Communications Department and the Goddard Education Foundation supporting strategic communications community engagement marketing fundraising and partnership development. The successful candidate will help tell the story of Goddard Public Schools while building relationships that strengthen our schools and create opportunities for students and staff.

Responsibilities may include developing engaging content for print digital and social media; photography and videography; graphic design; coordinating community partnerships and events; supporting fundraising and donor stewardship efforts; managing marketing campaigns; assisting with district and Foundation communications; and collaborating with schools businesses and community organizations. Specific assignments will be based on the successful candidates strengths experience and departmental needs.

Qualified candidates should possess excellent communication organizational and relationship-building skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment. A bachelors degree in communications public relations marketing journalism nonprofit management business or a related field is preferred. Experience in communications marketing photography videography graphic design fundraising event planning social media management or community engagement is highly desirable.
