Job Summary

Overview

MCGL requires strong consistent knowledge management and communications support to document project implementation capture and disseminate lessons learned and produce high-quality communications products that meet the standards of Jhpiego and the U.S. Government/Department of State (USG/DOS). This short-term casual position will provide surge communications and knowledge management support to the global MCGL team with the goal to ensure smooth close out and transition.

Duration: Sept 2026 - June 2027

Responsibilities

Deliverables

  • Success Story Documentation: Support documentation of success stories at project and country level highlighting achievements good practices lessons learned outcomes and impact.
  • Reports and Presentations: Assist with developing reports and presentations according to Jhpiego guidelines for internal program needs and external dissemination.
  • Infographics: Develop infographics using project data to show impact or tell a story.
  • Photography/Video Documentation: Provide guidance to country teams to support capture of high-quality photographs short videos or photo slideshows that highlight project impact and beneficiaries for use on the Jhpiego website and in publications.
  • Branding and Visibility: Ensure all communications products adhere to Jhpiego and USG/DOS branding marking and visibility requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in communications knowledge management social sciences or a related field.
  • 3- 4 years of demonstrated experience in knowledge management communications documentation or dissemination ideally in global health or development programs.
  • Experience developing communications products such as success stories newsletters infographics briefs and presentations.
  • Familiarity with knowledge management platforms and tools (e.g. Office 365/SharePoint DHIS2 or similar) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with canva and other design tools.
  • Strong writing editing and organizational skills; ability to translate technical program information into clear accessible content.
  • Ability to work across multiple country teams and manage competing priorities and short deadlines.
  • Understanding of USG/DOS branding and marking requirements for donor-funded projects is an advantage.
  • Excellent oral and written command of English; additional language skills ( French/Portuguese relevant to the duty station are an advantage.
  • Experience developing communications products such as success stories newsletters infographics briefs and presentations.
  • Familiarity with knowledge management platforms and tools (e.g. Office 365/SharePoint DHIS2 or similar) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with canva and other design tools.
  • Strong writing editing and organizational skills; ability to translate technical program information into clear accessible content.

The hourly rate range for this role is expected to be: $32.35 - $39.88

The referenced salary range is based on Johns Hopkins Universitys good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location work experience market conditions education/training and skill level. JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
