- Bachelors degree in Education Counseling Psychology Business Administration Mathematics Computer Science or other field related to area of assignment; with three (3) years experience and/or training involving area of assignment which may include college registration academic advisement career development career experience training curriculum development audio/visual or graphic production grant administration budget development program/project management event planning administrative work in an academic environment or personal computer operations; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Experience supporting students with a wide array of academic needs.
- Experience planning and coordinating co-curricular programs and events.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Strong competency using technology and computer systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in higher education environment particularly within academic affairs student affairs libraries learning centers or student engagement programs.
- Experience using student success technologies such as Navigate or similar platforms.
- Experience utilizing data or assessment practices to support program improvement and student engagement initiatives.
- Experience creating promotional or communication materials utilizing websites social media or other digital communication platforms.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion and review of a background check which will include CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and SORI (Sex Offender Registry Information).
GRADE AND SALARY: Anticipated salary range is $65370.00 to $70427.00 (MCCC Pay Grade 4 with a bachelors degree) annually with complete fringe benefit package. Complete fringe benefit package including competitive health insurance free dental insurance basic life insurance long-term disability insurance paid sick vacation and personal leave educational benefits for employee/spouse/dependents and excellent retirement benefits. Actual salary calculated in compliance with MCCC/MTA classification system. Official transcripts will be required at the time of hire.

POSITION: Full-Time Commons Engagement Coordinator (Special Programs Coordinator): Academic Affairs; Haverhill Campus; MCCC/MTA Unit Professional Position; 37.5 hours per week Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm; Pay Grade 4. SUMMARY: The Commons Engagement Coordinator coordinates the day-to-day operations programming and student engagement initiatives of the Commons across Northern Essex Community Colleges Haverhill campus. Reporting to the Associate Dean responsible for Libraries Tutoring and the Haverhill Commons the Coordinator works collaboratively with faculty staff and Academic Affairs leadership to create welcoming and inclusive experiences that connect students with academic resources faculty peers and meaningful opportunities for learning and engagement. The Commons comprise technology-enabled academic gathering spaces designed to foster connection curiosity and student success through opportunities to study create collaborate and engage with the intellectual life of the college. Responsibilities include coordinating daily operations across Commons locations in buildings B and C supporting events and programs at both campuses assisting students in navigating campus resources maintaining communications and publicity efforts and contributing to the assessment and continuous improvement of academic engagement services and initiatives.
