Location: Site based in United States (Amarillo TX initially) 90% travel on site
Type: Permanent full time 40 hours week guaranteed
Compensation:Hourly with overtime eligibility and per diem
The Technician I will support field activities related to the installation testing and commissioning of electrical and battery energy storage systems. This role emphasizes a strong culture of safety and continuous learning working closely with senior technicians and engineers to ensure high-quality project execution.
Uphold a strong safety culture by following all Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and related safety procedures maintaining zero recordable injuries.
Perform basic installation verification tasks including cable terminations grounding checks insulation testing and equipment inspections.
Assist with battery and component testing balance-of-plant (BOP) verifications auxiliary system testing and general on-site labor.
Support senior technicians and engineers throughout commissioning procedures and system start-up activities.
Ensure all tools test equipment and materials are available properly maintained and in safe working condition.
Accurately document and report any field issues observations or irregularities to senior technicians and engineering staff.
Follow direction from senior team members while actively developing technical skills to advance into more senior technician roles.
Foundational knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams schematics and technical documentation.
Completion of a technical certificate program apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical systems.
Strong willingness to learn take direction and adhere to established safety protocols.
Preferred safety certifications: OSHA 10 NFPA 70E First Aid CPR and AED.
