Commercial Litigation Attorney

Shulman Rogers P.A. is seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our Litigation Department in our Potomac MD office. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of substantive commercial litigation experience exceptional legal research and writing skills and the ability to manage matters independently while collaboration with partners and other attorneys.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle a broad range of commercial and business litigation matters in state and federal courts.
• Manage all phases of litigation including pleadings discovery depositions motion practice hearings and trial preparation.
• Draft substantive pleadings motions briefs discovery requests and responses and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis and develop effective case strategies.
• Participate in settlement negotiations mediations and other dispute resolution proceedings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• 37 years of substantive commercial or business litigation experience preferably in a law firm environment.
• Maryland Bar license required; DC and/or Virginia is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with discovery depositions motion practice and court proceedings.
