Commercial Construction Estimator

The Commercial Construction Estimator II is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role analyzes project documents collaborates with internal teams and external partners and supports proposal development to ensure successful project acquisition and execution.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects including materials labor equipment and subcontractor pricing
• Review architectural plans and engineering drawings to fully understand project scope and requirements
• Communicate with vendors subcontractors and project managers to gather pricing and clarify specifications
• Support proposal preparation including participation in client presentations as needed
• Maintain and update a directory of suppliers subcontractors and pricing data
• Track construction materials trends and cost changes to ensure accurate estimating
• Utilize estimating software and tools to perform cost analysis forecasting and budgeting
• Maintain records of estimated versus actual project costs for benchmarking and continuous improvement
• Assist with contract negotiations to ensure projects align with budget and scope expectations
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure estimates align with project execution and outcomes

• 36 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field
• Strong understanding of construction methods materials and project management principles
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints specifications and construction documents
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools such as Bluebeam Excel DocuSketch and CompanyCam
• Strong analytical mathematical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field preferred

• Experience estimating commercial construction projects
• Familiarity with budgeting forecasting and financial analysis
• Experience collaborating with project management and field teams

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
• Ability to sit stand and work at a computer for extended periods
• Ability to visit job sites and navigate active construction environments as needed

This role is primarily office-based with occasional travel to job sites for site walks project assessments and client meetings. Work schedules may vary depending on project deadlines and bid timelines.

$100000 $115000 annually

This is a bonus eligible position
