Join our Team as a Coding Specialist II HB Facility Coder

Are you detail-oriented and passionate about accuracy in healthcare documentation and billing Were looking for a compassionate caring and dedicated Coding Specialist II HB Facility Coder to join our team and help us continue our tradition of excellence.

In this role youll ensure accurate and timely coding of hospital charges and claims by abstracting information from the electronic medical record for compliant submission. Youll also support provider education collaborate with internal teams and help maintain coding accuracy and compliance across the organization while keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.

What Youll Do:

  • Accurately code professional and/or hospital charges and claims using electronic medical record documentation.
    Ensure timely and compliant claim submission in alignment with payer and regulatory requirements.
    Provide educational feedback to providers based on audit findings to support coding and billing compliance.
    Communicate daily progress issues and provider-related concerns to supervisors and managers.
    Support follow-up staff by gathering and clarifying information needed for outstanding claims or charge resolution.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
    Bachelors degree is preferred.
    Five years of experience in professional billing and coding is required.
    Candidates must have a coding background and pass internal assessments to be considered.

Certifications & Requirements:

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certified Professional Coder Apprentice (CPC-A) Certified Coding Associate (CCA) Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification is required. Other specialty or coding certifications/credentials may be considered.
