Your Mission:

The CNC Programmer Level II develops manages and verifies CNC programs for machines across the company with minimal supervision. This role includes advanced 3- 4- and 5-axis programming fixture design process planning and project management to improve machine efficiency part quality and overall production performance.


Explore the Depth of the Role:

  • Develop and process CNC programs using Mastercam for all machines in the company.
  • Prepare process plans including tool positioning feed rates spindle speeds and tool changes.
  • Design and implement fixtures using SolidWorks software.
  • Verify programs using Vericut or equivalent simulation software.
  • Determine part suitability for automation and assign machines based on efficiency and quality requirements.
  • Manage programming projects from conception to completion driving improvements in production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with operators and team members to optimize workflow and maintain organized program files.


Requirements

Mission Readiness:

  • High School Diploma required; supervisory training or experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related position in the machine tool industry.
  • Advanced proficiency with Mastercam SolidWorks and Vericut software.
  • Knowledge of CNC machine operations tooling and machining centers.
  • Experience with 3- 4- and 5-axis programming and large workpiece setups.
  • Strong communication leadership and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented self-motivated and a team player.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel may be required.


Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand and walk; occasionally stoop kneel or climb; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
