Job Summary
- Machine Operation:Operate 3-axis vertical CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications and blueprints.
- Setup and Programming:Set up CNC machines including raw material preparation loading materials machining tool setups inputting programs and adjusting settings to ensure accurate production.
- Quality Control:Inspect CNC programs and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This will include the use of precision measuring tools.
- Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Documentation:Maintain accurate records of production runs machine settings and maintenance activities
- Being as specific as possible and using action words provide bulleted list of the primary duties/tasks/responsibilities of the role.
Requirements
- Experience:Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment or technical/vocational school graduation with a manufacturing focus is preferred.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings strong understanding in the use of hand tools and precise measuring tools CAD/CAM familiarity and CNC machine operation and maintenance.
- Attention to Detail:Strong focus on accuracy and quality in production.
- Problem-Solving:Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery and production processes.
- Physical Stamina:Capability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks associated with machine operation
- Strong time management and organization.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes
- Forklift Certified preferred.
Work Environment or Physical Demands
- Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery noise and potential hazards.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Frequent lifting carrying and moving materials upwards of 60 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools and machinery.
- Bending stooping and reaching to access machine components and materials.
